Cut slicks are a thing even today. I recall that there was a discussion about them during this year's Nurburgring 24 hours; how they're regular slick tyres, but with channels cut into them.

The author seems to like to be a bit over the top dramatic sometimes, including his depiction of villains as more "stereotypical" bad guys that are downright despicable, perverted and violent people.why author is insistent on showing the cauliflower getting his weewee licked literally his every appearance is beyond meis this foreshadowing for a "when you nut but she keep suckin"-caused car crash?
...but as long as it's not the main focus of the series, I can tolerate it even if I think it's pretty unnecessary.
As an aside, even in his more recent works, Umezawa still has more explicit erotic scenes in his works (in which the main theme is not about erotica). It's just his style, you can say. (See: Death Planner)

It's a common trend in older edgy delinquent fighting manga works, which umezawa always did. I was sure surprised when he did Contach, I thought he was going to retire, lol
For example Im reminded of the current main villain in that Osu Karatebu manga where they are two incestual buff brothers that hold a villains gathering meeting and give out evil orders while cuddling in bed and poking each other in full view of the other gang members. They sure layed it on thick back then.
