Quite an interesting trivia chapter!
In Italy until very late cars could be sold without external mirrors, which could explain why the brochure pictures had the LP400 without any mirrors, plus the ITAVIA airline was an Italian company too.
One thing i find odd is the rear plate, which is correctly dated (black with white lettering, square) but it starts with "EE", which isn't a province like a normal plate, but means "Escursionisti Esteri", which is a temporary plate and registration for import or export of vehicles by privates.

Interestingly Marcello Gandini seems to favor Vitaloni mirrors.

Two of his car designs model kits I built, the Lamborghini Jota and Renault 5 turbo have them. The Jota has the Vitaloni Tornado, the Renault 5 Turbo has the Vitaloni Tornado.
