Hell naw man did author just take an idea he had as a child and write a whole arc around it??? This seems to have been:
"Oh yeah my car would be super cool with hexagons and floating cuz it's from the future, yeah and give it the wheelbase of the initial d car yeah, oh, and make it vaguely look like a lambo because they're awesome!"

Equipped with antigravity and air-nothing batteries to reach the magical 1T weight...

I don't blame you, the look is divisive, and the plot is a departure from the usual stories which was at least a bit more grounded. Although I wouldn't say the specs are impossible, for example an LMP1 car of the era (Toyota TS030 Hybrid and later the TS040) had a similar drivetrain setup plus power and weight figures, coming in at around 900kg, and that's including fuel and driver. Whether you believe that the hexxy exterior and creature comforts in the interior can fit within that 100kg difference though...

If it worked for Elon Musk it can work for the auth-

Huh? apparently the cybertruck doesn't works as a car either, so turns out the idea is as bad as it looks both in fiction and real life

But the fact that we have a real life counterpart is worrisome in itself....

Calling the look divisive, which has hexagonal penises for the logo of the car itself, implies that there's a camp (not counting the author) that actually likes a car made out of 10 polygons

The Honda NSX (NC1) had about the same power, but weighed a lot more than the car here.
It's a 3.6 v8 tho likely derived from the modena which makes 400hp from factory so 524 HP leaves 124 HP hybrid assist if they didn't boost the engine. They prolly did boost it and the 360 gtc (race car) makes 550 hp without restrictors. So safe to say the hybrid assist is nowhere close to the holy Trinity and is a gimmick like in the nsx.
