Hello all, another Countach chapter. This is the last chapter of volume 5! The year of publication of this volume is 2006, so we're about 17 years behind the releases. Join our Discord at teisoku.link to keep updated on releases of Countach and other car manga series we're doing!

Your comment made me work out a few things, if the release rate for translations for these 5 volumes holds out, we will see the end of this series roughly around July 2078.

Well, 5 years for 5 volumes (going by the MangaDex upload date), so 1 year per volume, let's say? It's not too bad, just have to wait 23 more years for the next 23 volumes to be worked on, so 2046.

Hacking up a Countach just to hit 180+... Really glad they specified that they were just swapping body parts and could swap it back.

Stock the Countach could hit 290. So they aren't really aiming for that much extra speed. Reading up on models, it looks like they normally hit the 300+ mark by just adding a turbo.

The upload dates on MangaDex is 5 years, because the site is only 5 years old. The first chapter of this series was translated very slightly over 12 years ago, if you check on Manga Updates.

They could’ve done some sort of reversible modifications that increase torque and horsepower to offset the disadvantage in the car’s aero instead of messing with the original body for better aero. For example, they can change compression, add a racing exhaust system, change the headers for freer flowing ones, change the air filter, add an air intake that’s meant for racing (not those silly kits sold at an auto parts store that do nothing), maybe mess with timing and ignition, etc. Personally I wouldn’t want to mess with body of an original, rare, and very desirable Countach Periscopa.
