"aero" wheels would be "streamliners" like on some land speed cars, you're probably thinking of wheels with air ducts, those are for brake cooling

I see.. its just once read how Tesla replacing the normal wheels with the aero ones and can reduce the airflow drag by 30% or something. And said fender skirt can mess the handling on high-powered cars.

Aero can get interesting, but I think you need non-dished wheels to keep the brakes cool.

You should look up the old fan cars that were banned in racing. Neat stuff.
