I find it odd. I just thought it was mistranslated. So I just read it as "Song Ying indeed does like Qin Yuan."

nah I think it fits with his character. He hasn't experienced love so far too right? He seems like someone who does tend to take things as it + he likely doesn't know what Tsundere is either.

IIRC, he's a reincarnator, so my assumption is that he knows how to read other people, but kinda dense when it comes to himself. You know, like most MC. That's why my first thought was that it was a typo.

in chapter 20, he wasn't surprised whe he saw that girl's dream. Instead, his expression when looking at that dense guy was like "just as I thought". So, for me, it confirmed my thoughts about the typos thing.

Looking at the raws, it does seem like the translation was correct and not a typo. Maybe it's a case of the MC actually being dense or maybe the MC was just nodding sarcastically.
