IDK if you mean the yandere-ish ends but this TL does pretty quick short series/chapters so depends on what's chosen

LOL well some tropes/cliches can get trendy, it's probably easier to make a 'messed up twist' in a one shot versus building up to it after 6 chapters, but depends on the story

i came across this author and some of their original work, including this one, while browsing on pixiv a few months ago
and i can say that it's pretty much the same trope. smaller highschool-or-college-aged-ish girl x bigger guy who seems nice enough but is actually a nonhuman yandere. it's kinda fun seeing the scenarios involving nonhuman yandere guys this author makes up.

so his second answer shows he's been stalking the girl for a while and is oblivious to her current attempts at escape. it doesn't seem he has any malicious intent in this extra, but I wouldn't be surprised if the author decides to make him snap and become even more obsessive than before.

the tengu speaks mildly formally in japanese
the specific word he uses for "pair", 番 (tsugai), means specifically either "mated pair", like birds and other animals, or "husband and wife".
