Wait, Oscar's chief of police? Or is that just Claud calling him chief. Checked an earlier chapter, and Oscar has a boss, but that wouldn't rule out him being chief.

@Lesurous So it seem I made a bit of a mistake in the translation. From what I can tell Claude is using the more formal version of Oscars name (adding "San" to the end), and Oscar is using the less formal version when using Claude's name (adding "kun" to the end). So we can assume that Oscar does hold a higher position than Claude and probably Abbey, but he may not be chief. Claude might also just be using senpai but its hard to tell, but Oscar is still using "kun" so the point is still there.

I don't normally translate the series straight from the original but rather use the Russian translation. I use a very simple translation method which is pretty much google translate and Russian is much easier to do that with than Japanese is. I've been practicing translating the Japanese in case the Russian translator drops it but the time to translated is still about 3-4 times as long depending on how complex the Japanese is.
