It's obvious as hell that she was going to betray him at some point. About 90% of Fictional situations like these the "fmc" at the start will always betray or manipulate Mc
And why did it take him so long to realize why she was also there it's literally a world for people who want to do heinous stuff and she says she has already played the game before and didn't wonder how she survived that first

This guy is a full retarded. Everyone is here for a REASON; that was the first thing the game told you and, yet, he still believed that there might be an innocent girl was accidentally brought here somehow. The moment she told you she had been here before you should already know that she can't be trust.

If the reader can see through your hidden plot before your character, you already failed as a writer.
