I found this chapter in an old Shonen Comp (a manga supplement to Monthly Comptiq magazine) from januari 1992. Even though it already got cancelled after two chapters I wanted to see what it was like, so I scanned everything and got this project started.
Since this got published in 1992, I think this manga is actually the first ever publication of anything Crystania. Meaning it even preceeds the novels (volume 1 was released in summer '93). Interestingly, there are some minor differences found in the manga, as if the story wasn't fully fleshed out yet, such as some gods governing something different than in the novel, and Barbas not choosing Ashram, but it rather seems Ashram sacrificed himself.
