It would be a nice plot twist, but unfortunately he was just a brat in the earlier princess, Rafine's, memories, when they were playing together in the forest. That was 10 years earlier from the current point. Eve's memories are from 4 years ago, meaning Jirei would have been 14. That can work with what we learned from the princess's memories. It's just weird that he was already like a fully grown man when he was 14, as that's how he appeared in Eve's memories. But we do know he was drinking some juices to get stronger, so he grew up just a bit fast.
