Pretty sure they both knew already at this point, which is why they were so quick to help. Theria likely did given the arrangement they families were supposed to have, which is also probably why he deliberately avoided targeting Latos' chest, what more with an Aqua Bullet. And didn't Latos pretty much confess it indirectly to Reese by telling the story between their two houses?

At this point though, Theria is probably thinking there's something going on between Reese and Latos.

Reese's sniper is made of barriers, and his barriers have been shown to take up physical space when arranged in constructs. So I'd imagine 5-6 inches, considering after that point it's no longer the rectum.
