It's sort of a "redoing" and acting as a "spiritual successor."
There's a small amount of backstory to the reboot that I can share.

A few of us are scanlating the Ascendance of a Bookworm Anthology, and one of the translators I collaborate with used to translate for Sa-chan. They proposed the idea to me, and I agreed to take it up. Coincidentally, I know everyone who previously worked on it, from all the previous groups. I managed to obtain most of the previous files for a refresh and received some extra help for the reboot. So, you could say a previous translator is revisiting their work, but now with a lot more of us, the final chapters come out much more polished than before.
