He says it in the same page - a good judge can tell a lot just based on the physique. He wanted to show that off. The pose is also more clearly distinguishable without the shirt and pants he was wearing. Don't forget that they usually wear pretty tight outfits during performances and practice.

Though it felt quite disturbing but I do agree that Junpei did it out of desperation as a last resort move to raise his chances to be sponsored. He is so pure I want to cry 🥺 and extremely lucky to have those decent adults around him.
