Saint Germaine intercepted the crew before they entered the shrine telling them that the hammer had been stolen. The hammer had not actually been stolen at all. He leads them to the ninja castle where his chameleon compatriot was waiting to capture these guys and steal their powers. He seems to be able to create real illusions. Whether the other ninjas are real is debatable. Seiko saw through this, knew that the hammer was back at the shrine and so tried to send Momo and Vamola back in time to complete the ritual and get Momo back to normal.

okay, thanks for the summary. but i was mainly saying "wtf" because these assaults just don't stop. and i know driving Momo's party to the corner is essential to make them "submit" and steal her powers, but i'm starting to get numb from the back-to-back "our main characters are in peril! again!!" stuffs
