Deus ex Shinto Priest. Seeing as the whole experience they’ve had since landing was an illusion by the two yokai, the fact that the priests of the actual hammer are numerous, powerful, and most importantly experienced with people in Momo’s position is not all that surprising. It’s probably why the enemies had to fake the entire town: they didn’t actually want to mess with the real temple or its acolytes.
