Yeah honestly for the longest time I've never liked how unaware the gang is. They've been attacked multiple times by now. you would think they would start being more aware of their surroundings but they never do.

It almost feels like the author had a good idea, wrote the story for a couple arcs, it became a massive hit, and now they're scrambling to draw out the story because they didn't expect it to get this popular and are trying to lengthen it. Mind you, that's just speculation, but it would explain the engaging story before this.
