Oh, Komori's back. I wonder why he wasn't in the last chapter, then? Maybe that one was published by whoever the original artist of these chapters is supposed to be.
Anyways, the only real connection I can see here to the "seeing" themes from the previous chapters are on p18, where you can see someone reflected in the mom's eye + the fact that she wasn't effected by the doll until she saw it alongside the mention of the doll's eyes itching earlier in the chapter. There's also the fact that the mother's description of her daughter going missing was that she was "nowhere to be seen," specifically, but then again that is a fairly normal phrase.
Scratching is often related with the idea of something beneath the skin, though, especially in horror. So maybe this chapter is meant to connect with the themes similar to that that've appeared in previous chapters? (With the gap, the teeth, the floaters, the family restaurant, and the earlier mention of something potentially being inside the computer.)
But also, this chapter does have a pretty heavy emphasis on senses besides seeing, especially the sense of "touch," in a way. I mentioned in one of my previous comments the idea of "seeing" as it's shown in this manga being something slightly different than what it is in the real world, so maybe this is an extension of that? And this really is supposed to be another form of "seeing."
