If I'm right the spirit mage problem

is that she is contracted with the top fire spirit, like the boss of every single one in existance, for that she mastered the element but is unable to contract any others, no idea for sword girl, inability to use mana and switched from her family techinique to another one, I don't recall reading any spoiler at why she is like that or why both got forced on the hero party instead of going for a balanced setup.

I can only guess a divine prophecy came with her blessing that she had to get 3 specific supporters.

Yep, she's too much of a prodigy it ended up backfire on her (pun intended). The fire salamander is a grand elemental spirit, it scared off all lower ranking spirits from approaching her. It's not a hopeless situation though, they only need to find other grand spirits who can stand on equal term with the lizard.
On Aria's case, she was born with that condition. Because she doesn't have any MP to cast sword skills, all she can do is relying on pure manual techniques. As of now they still have no solution for her yet, but in early chapter Ares once suggested using an MP-storing artifact as a medium for her.

Unfortunately the novel has been in hiatus since forever, we might never have an idea what happened behind the scene leading to that party composition.
If I have to guess, the first reason is the hero requesting a full female party, which narrowed down the number of candidates a hella lot. Second is from Gregorio and Stei's examples, you can expect that all strong individuals in this world have some screws loose (or else they wouldn't reach that level in the first place), forcefully enlisting them could sabotage the whole operation instead. Heck, the reason Ares got chosen might not because he's strong, but he's the most sensible guy among a bunch of fanatics.
