result might have been very different if it was a 2 against 1. It's 12 Shikigami vs 6 graduates afterall

He's most likely Taira no Masakado. In Chapter 20 his doll reacted when it was brought to the memorial mound where it is said his decapitated head landed when it went looking for a new body, and in chapter 37 when he was reduced to just a head his power increased massively.

"died in battle when a loosed arrow struck him on the forehead"
according to history too. Ye most likely he's Taira no Masakado. That's 1 hell of a catch for Yayoi.
He's what I would like to see in Jujutsu Kaisen too, but fuck Gege

when Yayoi first saw them she estimated them to have about half as strong as a graduate, then with the eyes they were supposed to be twice as strong as that (supposedly) so each one should have been somewhat comparable in power to a graduate

i guess instead of saving them as health potions they absorbed the power directly

12 Shikigami vs 5 stationed Graduates actually, with Zenki and Gouki not counting. But when Seimei and Shuten Douji got involved, the whole thing turned lopsided.

Admittedly, I too want to now see them in a 2 vs 1 setting. Would the High Priest have gone all-in on the first strike if there were two opponents instead of one? Would 500 slashes for each of two opponents from the Maiden been adequate instead of all 1000 on just the one? I'm curious.
