I mean plagiarism is wrong but how much could one possibly copyright a 'group' story , if not "i'm gonna use this material" or so even if they don't get a cut, surely ppl have turned anecdotes into manga/stories before (tho it'd be amusing if this was some passive aggressive jab/indirect vaguing about another person who stole from this mangaka before haha)
