Oh cool, I didn't realize this fan coloring was a thing! The manga can't hold a candle to the original canon story, but it isn't that shabby, in a vacuum. Too much fanservice, IMHO, but that's a personal opinion. And I kinda like that they took it in an alternate"what if?" direction. The anime is the original and canon story, so it's fun to see what would've happened if things had been different.
