Because it seems this was cut short, allegedly due to author's health. Anyway, in contrast, I do find it much better than other rushed endings. The whole twist with the fat rando is so shit, why undermine the greed that have been built up this whole time just to randomly insert some fat irrelevant rando with a dumb power that make no sense and essentially say 'I do whatever I want no matter what even if I'm literally dead'?
Its silly and this guy barely even mentioned before suddenly showed up out of nowhere as the main boss villain, but its still makes sense due to the lack of information, its not a detective manga so its still accepted, and i'd take this all day over other inconsistency ending. The whole twist with the fat rando is so shit, why undermine the greed that have been built up this whole time just to randomly insert some fat irrelevant rando with a dumb power that make no sense and essentially say 'I do whatever I want no matter what even if I'm literally dead'?
I was going to say how I hate powers that just give away critical information like this and how this particular villain is so grating. Regressors have to die for those secrets, possessors naturally have to suffer in using that info, but these status screen "analyze" fools just read! The way these users just talk like they know everything is so infuriating! And plus best boy Seigan died to this ******! Honestly this arc is just mid imo. I wanted Kamane to have that final showdown with his original gang in that worldline, so that way they can have a huge celebration afterwards, and Kamane won't be alone in remembering their time together 😭. So many ties and events that the story focused on is now retconned in the characters' eyes! Best girl Shuka forgot that heated s** scene, that amazing ship arc never happened in Earth's timeline, etc etc. and kamane's friends didn't die which I'm fine with them alive but if they were going to revive, why kill them off
