NGL that turn feels kinda poorly written. Just feels like the author threw in a dark vengeance angle for the sake of it.

Really? I thought the village was pretty suspect from the beginning. Also, the series seems pretty in line with dark vengeance/karma.

It is kinda weird when in the same chapter you can have a character casually survive having their head chopped off but another one can't deal with breathing weird smoke for a bit, or at least can't get healed from it

Isn't that like saying a frog can stay on a lily pad but a fish can't survive out of the water?

Not dark at all. She burned the entire forest down. Pretty bright, if you ask me.
