It's sad to see that there's no peace nor happiness in the future of any of our protagonists. No matter who survives, all of them are broken both physically and mentally and all of the alternatives seem just as vile. Gennosuke is no longer respectable, even though still impressive and even with Iku and Irako dead, I can see no way of him getting better at this point. Mie too, although I STILL can't figure her out aside from theories or headcanon.
