@Lilisionnach
not that she would reject the idea of going out with him
um, well this is just your assumption, so I dunno what to say. There is nothing to suggest that she'd go out with him, I mean, does she even like him? She hasn't talked to him for all this time, and she isn't a character who would just go out with someone who is basically a stranger to her
heck, an argument can be made that Akio isn't actually interested in Kurokawa and just wanted someone to geek out with/catch up
Also, you seem to be dismissing the current emotions/feelings between Nanaki and Kaede. Sure we don't know Kaede's "exact" feelings, but the way she talked about Nanaki in this chapter was very much not "just a friend", even the dude recognized that. And there is fair amount of past chapters showing as such. Interestingly, we see how Kaede still has an inferiority complex when it comes to Nanaki
And again, Nanaki isn't just going to let Kaede go out with the dude without at the very least saying something, and since we know she loves her, she'd probably do more than just that
in the end, this whole thing is just there to drum up the drama. It's a common trope of yuri manga: old childhood friend shows up, misunderstanding, can't talk and all that :/ while the trope is so overused, at least it usually ends up with some sort of progress. Also "friend" is word for progress in yuri manga xD
And Iroha’s already planted the seed that what they’re doing at this point is a date, so who knows. It’s possible the mangaka goes a different direction, but it has been done before, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened here too.
well, you're basically saying "anything is possible" which is w.e cause sure, anything is possible... but this is still a yuri manga and tagged as such officially, and I'm looking at things presented to us in the manga and not making assumptions
