Being good at throwing is pretty much a human exclusive skill.
Also if his grip is as strong as a gorilla the stationary would just explode in his hands, and probably shouldn't waste bone crushing strength on holding 1 inch pretend 'blades'.

Honestly, strong grip = weaponize small weapon is stupid. Maybe its missed in the translation but gorilla having that buffed up physique but resorting to using "small" weapons and throwing them is such a miss of an image. No Manners would fit that more because hes not buffed up at all so hes more fit to play dirty because of his lack of physique stat.
It would have been cooler if his weapon was instead like a whole gate or just a door. Maybe even strong enough to pull out poll signs out the ground.Which would be better progression because of how mc beat the 2 others quite easily. And then instead it became easier on the third?
