I'm actually a little surprised she avoided the rape. I read Devilman Lady and Violence Jack and the number of rape scenes in both of those series was kinda ridiculous. Maybe Go Nagai has changed or maybe he just wasn't allowed to indulge in that stuff as much with this series.
