Another excellent translation, thank you! And a good mystery- I like the pace of these stories.
BUT. That bit about "innocent people don't ask where the proof is" is. Completely, totally a lie. It's 100% just a fictional contrivance. In reality, of course you would want to see evidence if you were accused of something you didn't do. Obviously in a fun mystery series, common sense is suspended a bit, but....
