Except, if her target is the slave merchant, and saving the slaves, why is her first reaction to kill the monster that was currently destroying the merchant's mansion? Wouldn't she'd been better off sneaking into the slave quarters and freeing everyone?... So she's been casing the mansion in prep to assault for a while, saw the monster attack as an opportunity and went for it?
Yeah, ok, that works.
Well, she did say her goal was to kill the slavers at least. Not just rescue the slaves (and iirc the class abilities/magic of the slave trader class wouldn't let the slaves disobey even if the were physically broken out of imprisonment).Except, if her target is the slave merchant, and saving the slaves, why is her first reaction to kill the monster that was currently destroying the merchant's mansion? What’s DFC?
If you see a two groups of people who are fighting, and one of them summon a monster, and neither group has detected you...why would your first move be attacking the summoned monster, thus giving away your location, and now having to fight with opponents on two fronts? No matter how you look at it, this was a nonsensical decision by the author.Well, she did say her goal was to kill the slavers at least. As for why she didn't at least find out if the giant monster would do the job for her... I mean, she saw it appear so she knew it was a summon. And it was visibly not continuing the assault, just threatening on command. Which means that "it being under the control of one of the slave traders" is a decent enough inference, and that it would probably get in the way of killing that one. Remember that she isn't just after the owner of the estate, she said she's going to kill all of them.
