She is a former saint who was supposed to be KIA/MIA, and she also said that it'd be bad for her if the church finds out that she's actually alive all this time. Yet, she easily names herself in front of the Guild Master, whose guild is a branch of the church. Isn't that a bad idea to begin with?

@DeadKinginHell Well, if we take her words for it the "bad things" were mostly about how she would be ostracized if she returned, and have to live a life as some sort of scorned beggar in some forgotten convent on the ass end of nowhere.

So not necessarily that the church would actually hunt her down, as long as she doesn't flaunt herself (and the guildmaster seems to have been informed, so he can keep it on the down low enough).

Everything here seems really convenient.

Like it's convenient that she was made a slave, declared dead and can't just go back so has to join their party. And because she was with them, the guy agrees to write off their crimes if they otherwise wouldn't. Seems a bit lucky she happened to be at this particular caravan they were raiding...

Plus everything is pointing towards Zeonis making her his slave.

@Valve if they have repented, and are actively trying to help people in need and fix their wrongs, is it really so bad that they aren't doing a formal prison sentence?

Putting your life on the line to help others compared to just living in a jail cell... The first form of repentance is more likely to get you killed.

@Kiriha TL here. The raws had her implying, not-so-subtly, that she was raped at least once. The language she used was uh... if I remember correctly, "I was granted a body fitting for a slave".
