Oh wow.

A very interesting hook in the isekai genre. What the hell? I can't really think of one off the top of my head whose made use of this as the core premise of the story either. I know a few that have dual personalities, sealed up personalities, the concept of replaced personalities which is usually done, or fused personalities. I think the closest I can think of where clearly the two personalities are going to be antagonistic to one another was the one with the reincarnated into a dead hero's body. I forget the name of that one...

There's already some very solid worldbuilding right off the bat. A lot of tragedy, a lot of potential deep meaningful drama. And a subversion too, making you think we'll be following the typical isekai protagonist but moving instead to the person within the fantasy world who was replaced.

Now to see if we get a dual protagonist POV or if we're mainly going to follow one or the other. And both are victims of circumstances too, although one is given a new chance at life at the expanse of the existing life, so the one in the fantasy world has clearly been given the more dreadful set of circumstances to overcome.

From a trumpet music club manga,
then a one-legged ballerina one-shot,
and an ikebana club manga.
Now suddenly a dark fantasy manga.

That is quite a turn from the mangaka.

Interesting premise, but also kinda... Not like the reincarnators chose to take over their bodies either, so I wonder how this conflict will play out

An actually new and original Isekai-related story? Like, we've seen the "original body" theme touched on from time to time (Greatest Real Estate, The One with the Villainous, etc.) but not an entire underworld of (likely awful) people who were kicked out of their bodies.

I kinda wish this was written in the west, where they could for the purposes of critical parody actually have more blatant references to popular isekai. Usually they avoid that in Japan. I mean, I'm fine with a completely original world too, but I kinda would like to see a serious dramatic parody of popular isekai with this premise as well.

I like it, it always bothered me alittle seeing reincarnated people getting tossed into full grown bodies.
i remember a similar story where ”real world” players would steal the bodies of people(Artfical but still people) to play a video game.
even though the people being replaced are likely all scumbags, being robbed of their own body then being sent to “live“ in a cave is horrifying.

Looks like this manga wants to be the answer to the long asked question: "What happened to the original?"

Well, lets see where this goes. Thanks to her, there might be a faction even more dangerous than the demon lord now.
In fact, some manga have already given this answer. Some have switched places, others have assimilated, and some have simply died.

Yes, but most possession stories either paint it in a positive light or don't really touch the topic at all.

Some protagonists are lucky and get to regress. Others get to have have their body stolen by a stranger from another world who knows everything about them and uses said "future knowledge" to win over everyone to their side.

It feels pretty refreshing to see a villainess actually angry that their life was stolen instead of solemnly accept having to watch a stranger take their friends, family, and fiancé away from them while they disappear and die alone.

This feels almost like a different take on those imposter stories where the protagonist from a noble family is replaced with a commoner. Is it right to let someone take my rightful place if they can do a better job in my position than I ever could have? It'll be interesting to see how far the MC is willing to go to fight for their life back. It'll also be interesting to see how many people actually want the real her back.
