are you aware of the concept of the Unreliable NarratorWhy does the MC dude keep meeting Hanamitsuji? Half of her lines to him are insults, and the other half is pretty much indirect insults questioning his way of life and choices. She keeps nagging him to get friends, but she doesn't help him with that, nor does she even give any concrete advice. And then if he actually tries something, she comes back to criticise and insult him some more. That's some attitude from someone whose life he saved. And no, she didn't return the favour by saving his life. It was the god who did it, on a whim.
Nanamura keeps saying he doesn't need or want friends, so he doesn't need Hanamitsuji's company either. He's a lone wolf chuuni. His only reason for befriending someone would be to talk about his own intrests, which mean the other person would need to be a romcom light novel fan as well. He doesn't know any, nor is he interested in looking for one. So, why on Earth does he agree to meet Hanamitsuji time after time? He even ignores her chat messages, so he should just ignore her entirely, while he is at it.
I am not, but the author of this manga is the chairman of the Association of Unreliable Narrators.are you aware of the concept of the Unreliable Narrator
GuiltWait, can someone explain why the other girl stopped going to school in the previous timeline? I really don't understand what might make her stop going.
Not when he is at the bottom of the "social hierarchy".Really? Playing the creep was easier than shouting something like "isn't it fine"? Like, even if he made a clown out of himself defending the girl, it would be 100x better than the current situation. What a Hachiman way of doing things.
I understand what you're saying; he's at the bottom, but Hoshigasaki isn't. I don't think his position is even that important in this situation, he was pretty much neutral before this incident. Not when he is at the bottom of the "social hierarchy".
There surely should be a better way to handle it, but he clearly doesn't have the charisma to sway the popular opinion.
The girl could instantly shut him down by saying something like "who asked your opinion you creep?" and nobody would dare follow his lead even if he continued.
Hoshigasaki's own friend wasn't willing to say anything when she got confronted.I understand what you're saying; he's at the bottom, but Hoshigasaki isn't. I don't think his position is even that important in this situation, he was pretty much neutral before this incident.
I believe that if anyone, including the MC, attempted to defend her, people would perceive the ones cornering her as bullies, making more people willing to defend her.
the author seems to have read oregairu too much, even without 2 oregairu references so far you'd be able to tell how similar the characters are lolOregairu reference on page 8
