It's mostly used as a psychological trigger in p*rn to make readers feel good, to give them something they usually aren't allowed to see happening, it's supposed to be more exciting.
So it's mostly used as a gag and it's not to be taken seriously, if you don't want to get pregnant you never want to rely only on your so-called safe day.
