@congpoke Hey, this translation'd probably be a bit better if you didn't translate so much just by converting the Japanese words to rōmaji. I get that it gives it that obviously "anime" aesthetic, and it's not like it's at a level to become unreadable, but ultimately it's just a bit grating at times. Obviously stuff like "Yuusha" is mostly fine, because stuff like this does often treat the word as a name, but the "suki" on page 23 could have easily been translated as "I love him," you know?

There are a lot of words that a lot of animanga fans know, but that doesn't mean that everyone reading your TL is going to recognize or understand them. And the point of a translation in the first place is to create as close to an equivalent version of the story as you can for foreign readers. Not a single Japanese reader would have trouble understanding these places you've used rōmaji, so why should English readers, even if the ones that have trouble are going to be a minority here? The Japanese version had simple language; the English version ought to as well, I think.
