For anyone interested in why we translated とーぼーき in Enokawa's oneshot as "On the Run", our best guess is it comes from 逃亡鬼 since that monster is playing tag (鬼ごっこ) with the girl. More importantly, it makes the logo look nice and I like Pink Floyd

Every chapter feels cramped for the last few chapters. Can't tell whether it's a visual thing or a story thing, just feels cramped.

Ain't no way he'll have an unbias take on Hanagami's chapter....

This series keeps getting better and better. Can’t wait for Kodansha or viz media license this. Hopefully soon

Speedrunning in order to not get axed. Unfortunately the beginnings of a lot of series suffer because of this pressure. Tho, it seems like it worked for this series because it's doing well now. Hopefully that means it chills out soon. So far, it's been something like a battle manga with 95% of the battles being off-paneled.

Mathematically if Chameleon rates Dragon last, he comes last overall. It's still too early in the storyline for Chameleon to have a change of heart of sorts in my opinion, so I bet that's what is going to happen.

Bear in mind though that it was mentioned in chapter 7 that this whole training camp is being live-streamed. Basically the magazines most avid readers are watching everything and have probably read all of the entrants task work up until now. Then consider that people were already calling Miyama [Dragon] the "True return of Dragon Land" online. My guess is Miyama pumps out an amazing Chapter 1, but still comes dead last overall due to Chameleon's rating and is blacklisted. At which point there is a large fan backlash online, with people accusing Hanagami Sensei [Chameleon] of being biased against his "successor" Miyama [Dragon]. Then in response the magazine either rescinds the blacklisting claim it was fake to motivate the entrants or a rival publisher snaps Miyama [Dragon] up quickly and we get to add some publishing business level rivalry to the mix.

EDIT: I misread how many points they could gain in this round. There is no way for Miyama to come dead last overall after this round never mind. Most of the rest of my point still stands, but the tension is less.

This is what I'm kinda hoping for to be honest. Miyama seems to get a real kick out of challenging himself, so I bet him having to modify his genre for another magazine would probably only make him even more skillful.
Also I really disliked how being blacklisted by the Not-Shonen-Jump was treated like the end of the world. Other publications exist and you are still the winner of a highly esteemed oneshot competition, I bet that has to account for something.

Each of you has a chance? Nah mate, the winner can't be anyone with 7 points. Scoring first gives 12 which means the maximum score Ooiwa and Yakuno can get is 19, which is the same as the minimum score of Sakaki, and if Sakaki only scores 19, Miyama scores at least 20. People with 7 can't win and people with 8 can only draw.

Thank you for confirming that I'm not the only one who's feeling it.

Interesting, can you point me to another manga that also suffers this Speedrun start from the top of your head? I want to know more about this

Oh fuck I just realized he might get turned down unfairly... Hopefully the manga he makes this time blows that chameleon making him unable to turn it down

Obviously it's subjective, but I think My Hero Academia is an example. Maybe not to the same extent, tho.

When I was reading the first few chapters I was half expecting a story where everything slowly goes his way and the other guy is pissed the whole time but they immediately blew my expectations out of the water and then did it again and again. This is a really a nice manga.

Honestly I don't want Hanagami go back to his OG body anymore because I'm already used to how he looks in Miyama's also this way his design definitely suits him more with the determination on his face and the evil chameleon Miyama in the place of the great manga junkie looks like a perfect villain so if switching back happens I will be very disappointed.
