It seems a bit funny to go "The king probably wouldn't be allowed in, but you might be since you'd be with the princess of Stromheim", like why would the royalty of your own country not be allowed in, but the royalty of a visiting country would? And a king vs a princess, no less? Sure, she's of heroic lineage too, but I feel like your own country's royalty should still massively outrank that.
Assuming she isn't outright lying, which I would totally believe, it's probably just a matter of the danger. As far as Pansylvania would care, the princess of another country is absolutely expendable compared to their own king. It would likely be a diplomatic incident, but the other presumptive candidate for Stromheim's throne is more ideologically aligned with Pansylvania, not to mention a pawn of the cult faction, so the tensions would likely be temporary until he takes the throne.
I am absolutely tripping because Calliope was a complete ass just beating the shit out of him in their first meeting and then now she’s buddy buddy with Medis? Not a fan of that development. I do like the fact that they planted the seeds for manga to be in that world. It’s going to be neat.
Thanks for the translation!
They both know that fight was a political move on Calliope's part that got public opinion back on Akira's side. Sucks that Akira had to get beaten up a little for that to happen, but Medis isn't so politically inept that she'd hold that against someone who just did them such a huge favor.
He's showing the kind of hostility you find when you meet someone who stole their lunch in grade school. She's in league with the people who unleashed the zombie apocalypse (sending their friend to deaths door), a singularity who has infiltrated the most powerful nation in said world....
I don't think Akira has figured out that they're from the same organization yet, and I don't think there were any obvious connections between them from his point of view besides just being shadowy bad guys. At best he might be able to remember that they both hate the goddess and her faith but he could have just as easily forgotten that in the chaos. In the previous chapter's flashback with Duke Cold he definitely didn't seem to have made a direct connection between them either.
