It would be kind of funny if Duke Emilio actually succeeded in duplicating Akira's power, but then he was just unable to figure out how to activate it because the idea of it being drawing instead of just "variant/contractless summoning" is something he'd never guess, or something.

Also, it's a minor thing, but it's kind of funny to see 光線/"light ray/beam" translated as "laser beam" in a fantasy manga like this, since "laser" is an inherently science-y word. Like dang, I guess Emilio knows some pretty involved science.

I feel like two things need to happen over the next couple chapters. First he needs to destroy the orb that analyses skill just in general but given the zombie state all those people are in, either it incapacitates those whose skills it assimilated or the duke is just killing them even after stealing skills and reanimating them. Second, Akira needs to cut off the duke's legs then beat him to death with them.

Any normal person would judge the giant glowing orb, that the duke keeps glancing at, to be highly suspicious, and thus needs to be destroyed as soon as possible. But we are talking about Akira here. He might have been a mangaka, but his pencil has always been pretty dull. We shouldn't expect intelligent actions from him.
