That's nice. If we ignore the fact that it's much, MUCH easier to make money when you already have it this actually sounds impressive. If we don't this is just on par with what's happening in the real world, where wealth breeds wealth, and social mobility is on a steady decline.
She was born into wealth, had access to the best schools and tutors and just generally had much more opportunities than normal people to get where she is - and whereas poor people have to worry about setbacks, rich ones can afford to take losses and thus take much more risks. Sure, not anyone can become a top Tokyo U student, but I've no doubt that Chie is just as capable as she is, just without the extra opportunities provided to the rich lady. And she's definitely kinder to boot.
