Although it started somewhat grounded (as well as you can be given the scenario), it's starting to jump the shark here.

In what world does it make sense to hire a teenager as your combat helper? And nation states opening up their dungeons to civilians immediately instead of just using their military? D Genesis manga did this concept a LOT better.

288,000 Yen in USD Is 1,924.40 USD.
So that's how much she would make in a singular real time hour.
But in Dungeon Hour, at 144 hours, that's 13.36$ per hour.
I'll leave it to you guys to decide if that's a good deal or not.

Ever get that thing where a manga you forgot about gets an update, and you read it, and you are like, why the hell am I following this garbage?

As more food for thought... If there was no possibility of getting stronger as a result of participating, it sounds like a bad deal. That's below U.S.'s minimum wage, and that's what people can get for jobs that don't involve you risking your life. This job would involve actual danger, so there needs to be some sort of hazard pay to compensate for the extra risk.

But if you factor in stuff like getting special abilities from participating, that could be viewed as adequate compensation since it's an exclusive perk of this job. And if those abilities help her live longer than if she didn't have them, then it probably is worth it.
