So MC wants to wish for the goddess to be free.
INSTEAD of wishing for his mother to revive?
I feel it would have been better if the story never included the mother and made him an orphan at this point. The flashback with the mother makes me feel like this MC is ungrateful and unfilial. The mother made a wish to save her son instead of saving her own life and now MC only wishes to help the goddess. I guess for pussy? Idk.
