It kinda makes sense, those who are powerful being treated less like a person and more like a resource to obtain by powerful organizations. And pretty much everyone they might socialise with, those being people at somewhat their level of power, belongs to such an organization.
And here comes Jiwoo, not asking for anything, not trying to make them help him, make them 'his'. Just treating them with basic kindness and a bit extra kindness, because to him that's natural. A bit of a how the world could have treated them, a world they'd have loved to live in. Who wouldn't want to support him after that?
