Girl, you should have lied. But since you can't lie to save your life, at least explain things in a concise and firm manner, you basically let Ryu walk all over you and control the narrative (went from "did you know he was Foxstar", to "did you help him" to "why did you help him"). Had you said that you were being blackmailed, you could have countered his accusations.
