I wasn't gonna post a comment, but, uh, really had to after seeing both the girls-to-boys ratio and then the count of male students reported by the teacher superintendent...
Because if I'm reading that right... That's around 420 current residents (42 male students, 1:9 :: boys:girls, so ten times the boys equals total count), and there's still unoccupied rooms to the point the school is doing this promotional filming to fill rooms/beds? How the hell big is this damn place, just for one high school?? Am I just not understanding how big the student body for one Japanese high school can be? Because I feel like this place could house everyone for many western high schools.
I'd think if they were trying to get more people in the dorm with those current occupancy numbers, they're basically wanting the whole school to stay there. If that isn't the case, I think somebody messed up with the dialog somewhere, either the original writer or the scanlators.
I realize this is porn and all, but still, at least some amount of thought ought to go into this sort of stuff, instead of just numbers thrown in. It really took me out of it, especially since it was all dialog and setup during all of that exposition. No sexual acts to distract the reader until after the teacher gives that male student resident number. It only started to lean towards naughty stuff a page or two later, but my mind had already been sent reeling by the numbers.
