Very disappointed by how the witch mystery is unfolding. The fact that she managed to always escape is so contrived and it breaks suspension of disbelief.
They're in the harem of an Emperor! One of the most exclusive parts of it, so much so that the price of entry for men is that have their balls cut off! Women there are liable to carry the offspring of the Emperor, therefore guarded and watched at all times. There's plenty of guards, and even in a palace, so much places to flee and hide.
You have to assume that everyone that witnessed the incident is stupid for one, having lost the witch when she had visibly only one side of the court to come and leave from. And two, for allowing to roam frol anyone found in this part of the harem.
Round up everyone and literally look at what they're wearing! Ditching the mask is reasonable but there was no time to fully change. At least five saw the witch from up close, MC grabbed her sleeve!
Not a big fan of all those people holding on to apparently crucial clues or speculations. Don't say shit or out with it! 'We'll talk about your mother when I return, Jon.' SURE NED!!
