There is also the after effects of paying up that inmense amount of money and how it would affect everything. Whoever pays it would make it be paid by everyone below them. Unless these villains use that money to do something that works for everyone in the world, bottom line it would make things worse than they are now.

I think the 3 Evol are going to blow up the rocket themselves at some point because they will pay, it won't be launched and everything will turn for the worse.

If the evil org is keeping it real, they will launch the rocket regardless of getting the money or not, their biggest obstacle is the heroes intercepting them and stopping the detonation

Oh, sure it will. An economic shock of that magnitude is going to fuck up any kind of balance around the world and is going to be a carnage, the moneyhavers are not going to just pay and that's it, it will be passed down to everyone and we all know what that is. At that point is just delaying the inevitable, someone is going to fire that rocket wether be tomorrow or 5 years later after everyone is miserable.

The setup is you want to be wiped out tomorrow or you want to be wiped out in an indeterminate amount of time after society goes to shit with all its consequences? That's why I say the only silver lining here is these guys do something for everyone with that money, which I don't think they will.
