Info: This was done solo by me.
Still based on the spanish version, but I actually have enough knowledge of the language to spot mistranslations.

I could have gone with "Human Imitation" but "Imitation human" makes me think of imitation crab, so I thought it matched the "fishy" feel of the story. (Dumb reason ik)

I don't know how they translated it in spanish but 人間=human , モドキ = modoki = to copy, to imitate. So you got it right.
