from what i understood, they broke most of the fall with the beam's recoil (1st splash that washed away the fisher), then fell at an """""acceptable""""" speed. add the "shut up! it's magic." trope, and nobody's hurt 😬

youre not wrong, but ive never really paid attention to it because i was just reading the whole thing in one go. though now that we're waiting a week or so for a new chapter the shortness of them are starting to stick out like a sore thumb. these chapters just feel like the author is just shitting out whatever pages hes finished by the time the deadline rolls around.

I do agree this series has pacing problems. It's one that i think would be better to read in physical release form where you get a big batch of chapters every 6 months or so
