It's the sort of thing that's not a horrible idea in a moderately safe part of the modern world, where you mostly want to be warned about curious animals that might become aggressive if you take them by surprise - it's not going to be very useful somewhere you need to worry about, say, leopards or tigers that are actively going to be hunting you down.

Or, you know, things with at least mostly human level intelligence like goblins . . .

Neither of them seem to have had a whole lot to live for . . . being stuck in a different world, almost totally reliant on each other, seems to have given them a new sense of the value of their lives . . .

Girl, one of your abilities is similar to invisibility and you have a transformable barrier as your second skill.

Why aren't you using the much more sensible ones? Just put up an invisibility spell in the vicinity to cover yourself, or put up a barrier to prevent intruders? Or even, combine both.
