This should dispel any notion that Nero is being wanked by the writer.

She has power up from Romulus but unable to surpass Altera in power.
Her heart is strong but Boudica showed even stronger heart for being able to love Nero and choose to protect her.

She is not wanked. It just agenda from her haters and some people just accept it because it cost them nothing other than her fandom feeling like shit every time it brought up.
